How we help
Learn more about the charity work that 'Give a little with a great heart organization' is involved in and how we help vulnerable people in Tanzania.
Paying for school fees
Our organization helps several children with school fees, enabling them to receive an education. Some of these children live at the schools, giving them not only a place to call home but also access to friends and regular meals.

Waterproject
In the village of Same, the nearest water source was six kilometers away. To address this, we built a 40-square-meter water tank to collect rainwater. The photos show the tank’s construction and the joyful moment when Catarina collected the first drops of water from it—what a happy moment!

Schooluniforms
The organization provides children with school uniforms. In the photos, you can see schoolchildren in a Maasai village attending classes outdoors beneath a beautiful baobab tree.

Supplying wheelchairs
Our founder, Catarina, brought six wheelchairs from Sweden to Tanzania to distribute to those in need. Additionally, the organization purchased four more wheelchairs locally. Our chairman, Bruno, then crafted new custom seats for each wheelchair himself.

Food projects and nutrition education
We have organized several successful food programs that teach people how to use locally grown crops to achieve a nutritious and healthy diet. The organization also distributes food supplies, such as rice, oil, and hens, to those in need. Hens are especially valuable, as they can also be used as currency in certain situations, providing more than just nutritional support.

Building a local office
We have built a local office in Same! In the future, we plan to enclose the area with a fence to be able to plant fruit trees, and create a vegetable garden. Eventually, we hope to build a children's home on the office grounds. The photos show the office’s construction, built by local craftsmen.

People we support
Meet the wonderful people that we have been able to support individually - Bahati, Daima, Namnjakiy and tompe!

Bahati
Bahati was born without underarms and has only two fingers on one hand and one on the other, yet he can still write. He comes from Imalinyi Parish in the Njombe region. Our organization supports Bahati with school fees so he can attend San Francis School for Able and Disabled Children in Moshi, Kilimanjaro.
Daima
Daima was born with glaucoma in both eyes. With our support, she was able to receive surgery and obtain glasses, allowing her to see clearly now. In the photo, we’re standing with Pastor Jane as Daima prepares to start school.

Namnjakiy
In 2022, Namnjakiy reached out to our founder, Catarina, seeking help. At 20 years old, she was facing an arranged marriage she didn’t want, as her true aspiration was to get an education and build a career. With support from our organization, we covered Namnjakiy's school fees and she is now attending classes. She is on track to graduate as a teacher in July 2025.
Tompe
Tompe is a 17-year-old girl from Imalinyi Parish who has been orphaned and out of school for many years. When we first met her, she was attending six different church choirs simply to have a place to be indoors and to connect with friends. Our organization now sponsors her education, and she lives at a school where she is gaining both an education and a supportive community of friends.
